Armed and Dangerous

While researching the alleged threat posed by Iran I was surprised to learn that Iran was still dependent on arms and munitions purchased from the U.S. prior to 1979. This factoid triggered a memory of my reading about the Afghan Wars when I discovered that the CIA estimates that 40% of the arms used by the Taliban were provided by the U.S. Whenever the U.S. complains about illegal drugs coming from Mexico, the Mexicans are able to point to illegal guns crossing their borders in retort. When it comes to the weapons of war, we’re NUMBER ONE!

In 2011, the world arms trade was $ 88 BILLION. Of that $ 66 BILLION was made by the United States. Russia is # 2 and they can only rack up a measly $ 4 BILLION.

Half of all American arms exports go to one nation, SAUDI ARABIA. The nation that attacked us on 9-11* is our biggest customer, no wonder 9-11 is a closed chapter in our history.

* There is no evidence that the Saudi government participated in the 9-11 attacks. But 15 of the 19 perpetrators were Saudi citizens and the Senate committee investigating the attacks found that the funding came from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Osama bin Laden was a Saudi. FBI agents report that they were told to cease investigating any ties between 9-11 and the Saudis. There is sufficient evidence to call 9-11 a Saudi attack
