America Approaches Its Economic ‘Munich’

Up way too early, watching the Morning Jaw on MSNBC. The topic today deals with the latest findings: (1) that 80% of Americans will at sometime in the lives face unemployment, poverty or near-poverty, (2) that 15% are currently poor, and, (3) that 20% of the country OWNS 80% of everything while the 1% OWNS 40% all by itself.

Taking the first turn at the Jaw, Richard Haass, head honcho at the COUNCIL FOR FOREIGN RELATIONS (CFR), and the Globalists’ favorite toady, dismissed concerns about the glaring inequality in America to say all that we need is more FREE TRADE deals! In the last 20 years, political hacks and henchmen of Democratic and Republican brands have labored ceaselessly on behalf of their Global Corporate employers to deliver trade deal after trade deal, all with the same result: American jobs and industries are shipped overseas. One of the major contributing factors to the malaise we experience and the kick-starter to the blatant class inequality that has evolved into a  structural feature of the economy has been the relentless pursuit of so-called free trade. We don’t need MORE trade, we need MORE industry and jobs at home.

Unfortunately, the experts that Government turns to are always of the same ilk as Haass and that is quite frankly absurd. Haass is an economic traitor. He does not, to the best of my knowledge, engage in political treason but he does betray our economy by aiding and abetting our enemies. Because of Haass and others so inclined, America’s decline is expedited for the benefit of China, Vietnam, Indonesia and so forth.

One of the deals which Haass would have us sign on for is the infamous ECONOMIC ‘MUNICH’ * called the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). If (or when) the U.S. signs this agreement it will give up its authority to regulate its own economy, protect its consumers and workers, and provide for the health and welfare of its own citizens. Under its terms, global bureaucrats representing Chinese Commissars ** and assorted Asia potentates will assume final authority over the American economy.

Lest we seem too vehement, consider what the mild-mannered professor, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has to say, “In other words, if people knew what was going on, they would stop it. This argument is exactly backwards. If transparency would lead to widespread public opposition to a trade agreement, then that trade agreement should not be the policy of the United States.”

The Senator is convinced that if the American people were made aware of the TPP they would rise up against this perfidy, this outright surrender, this treason. But the American people are not aware. The TPP has been negotiated in secret and although it would become the law of the land superseding Federal and State laws and regulations, it will be presented to Congress on a “fast track” like previous trade deals. This means that the Congress-critters will not be allowed to debate it or amend it. They will take their orders: VOTE YES and shut-up. This is how we got NAFTA and how we were stuck with the WTO.

It suits the CEOs,it pleases the Commissars, and  it will benefit the 1% who are increasingly melded into the great Global Super Elite but it will be the proverbial kick to the nuts (or guts) of Mr. & Mrs. America.

* The Munich Agreement was the nefarious document in which the Allies gave in to Hitler sacrificing Czechoslovakia in 1938. It led to a weakening of the Allies, a strengthening of the Nazis and ultimately the Second World War.

** Technically, China is not a signatory to the TPP having already had its goodies delivered via a separate agreement providing it “Most Favorable Nation” status with the American market. However, our interpretation is that the induced pauperization of America under TPP will augment China’s role as our creditor.
