A Los Angeles County deputy Sheriff alleged that he “smelled” Meth near a home in the suburban county. That was enough “probable cause” for a search warrant resulting in a massive military-style operation busting into the 80-year-old man’s home. The 80 year old caught by surprised may have attempted to defend himself and was shot and killed.
No Meth was found.
The deceased’s son however had some marijuana. The Sheriff’s Office felt justified in the search, break-in and killing because although while it wasn’t meth, the presence of marijuana indicated that something drug-related was going on.
